The Courtyard
One of the first bars in the city, recently revived by the new bar culture in this end of town. You'd never have guessed but the distinguishing thing about this place is the all weather courtyard, covered in winter with the biggest umbrella known to humanity with those fancy heater things to keep you warm - they've even got tellies outside.
Mon 11.30am-11pm, Tues/Wed 11.30am-2am, Fri/Sat 11.30am-2am and Sun 11.30am-10.30pm Cajun Chicken Wrap £3.95

I work as a door staff at the Courtyard and any venue in the city would remove a person or persons from their premises who were jumping on leather furniture, (Rich Jennings and co). Even if you live above the Courtyard this sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable. When you progress from student accommodation and start to pay your way in life you may value other people's property.

I work at the Courtyard and have been doing for a few months now. I think it's a good bar to go to for a big piss up, but it is very cold inside and it needs to be fixed. The people I work with are great and quite fit. I really enjoy working there, but it needs to get more people in!! (P.S. Helen and Rachel Cassy are fit).

Well, absolutely terrible as far as the level of bouncers is concerned. The guys threw one of my friends out for sitting on the top of a sofa… I tried to explain the situation to them, and stating that I live above the Courtyard Bar, but they manhandled me outside the premises throwing my drinks all over me and my friends. I think that this is absolutely terrible and hope they get reprimanded for this outrageous behaviour.
